Please follow these guidelines to keep your lashes extensions looking beautiful.
Do:
- Book your fills in advance. Most clients will require fills every 2 weeks, but some can get away with 3-week fills.
- Partner with your artist to see if you are a candidate for 3-week fills. You must have a history of great retention and lashcare.
- Cleanse your lashes at least once per week, with a brush and cleanser both recommended by your artist.
- Plan your cleansing schedule so that you’re always doing so on the mornings of your fills. ONLY foam cleansers specifically formulated for lash extensions should be used for this purpose. If you wear eye makeup of any kind, you must cleanse your lashes before bed.
Don't
- Load up on caffeine before fills. Your eyes will be more likely to twitch, allowing fumes to enter the eye & cause burning or watering. Watery eyes add too much humidity to the service; the adhesive no longer performs how it should.
- Get your lashes get wet at all for the first 24 hours after each appointment Be mindful of steam, rain/snow, facial mists, etc.
- Wear mascara, gel eyeliner, or pencil eyeliner on the upper lid, ever.
- Work out, cry, or swim without cleansing afterwards. The salt that sits on your lashes afterwards will cause the extensions to become brittle & pop off.
- Take steamy showers, frequent steam rooms / saunas or allow steam or excessive heat to hit your lashes while cooking or blowing out your hair.
- Allow any oils within 1” of your eyes. Be especially mindful of facial mists, moisturizers, eye creams, cleansers, and primers.
- Regularly wear eye makeup of any kind on the upper lid.
- Habitually use eye drops or contact solution with saline in it.
- Pull, tug, rub, or twist your extensions.
- Attempt to curl your extensions with a traditional or heated lash curler.
- Sleep on your face/belly, if you can help it
- Forget to wash your cleansing brush with antibacterial makeup brush cleaner every couple weeks, to prevent infection
Lash Tint
Results typically last 3-6 weeks, depending on how much you touch your eyes, how often you wash your face, and what kind of cleanser you use.
- Avoid oil-based moisturizers, cleansers, or wipes as they will dissolve your tints faster.
- As for makeup, wearing mascara over your tint is absolutely fine, however avoid waterproof mascara as it dries out lashes.
Lash Lift
A lash lift will last anywhere from 6-8 weeks dep ending on your lash cycle and the structure of your lashes.
- The first 48 hours after a lash lift are the most crucial to maintaining those gorgeous results.
- Do not apply make-up or any lotions, eye creams, primers and avoid rubbing eyes.
- It's required that you do not get your lashes wet - heavy exercising, humidity, saunas, gyms. showering - basically avoid any way that will expose your lashes to the water.
